Comic Con... the rest of it

The amazing weekend is over. I am sorry that I have not been posting updates everyday. I just have been exhausted after getting back each night. So now I will just post an overview of the rest of the convention.

The Middle Man
Thursday I checked out a panel for a show I have never seen before called "The Middle Man" on ABC Family. Along with the show there is a comic book for it. At the panel there was supposed to be a bit of the cast and makers of the show and comic but, there was a accident on a major highway and only two of them showed up. The ones that showed up Matt Keeslar who plays "The Middle Man" and Javier Grillo-Marxuach creator of the show and also used to be a writer and producer on "Lost". The panel was interesting and makes me want to check out the show. They said at it that each episode is a reference to something else, such as in the episode "The Flying Fish Zombification" the whole thing is references to the band The Zombies. Overall I liked it and will check out the show. It was a comedy show with some strong language so beware.

Mega64 Screening
On Thursday night I went to a screening of internet show Mega64. Find out what they are about here. We watched two episodes, one of which was a world premier. I saw them last year and enjoyed the two episodes but I loved the new one this time. I have watched this for sometime now and recommend to video game lovers everywhere. Even if you don't like the show they do you can still enjoy the skits they do.

Entertainment Weekly
On Friday there were two Entertainment Weekly panels one in the morning for visionaries of TV which I did not make it in for and visionary filmmakers. At the one I did get to there was filmmakers Kevin Smith, Judd Apatow, Zack Snyder and Frank Miller. At this it was a Q&A. They started with some questions submitted online and then opened it up to the floor. I don't have much more to say about it. It was funny but you would have to see and hear.

Kevin Smith
Kevin Smith panel is another that you would have to see and you would probably laugh your ass off. Since I did not record it I can't but I can say what I saw. He mostly talked about his new movie he has been working on called "Zack and Miri Make a Porno". From what they showed it looked like a hilarious film. After showing a clip of the movie he brought out the cast of the film for Q&A.

Heroes
Here is another panel I can not say much about. I was lucky and had friends that were in line for Lost since 4am. So we were close to the front of Hall H. In it they brought out the whole cast for Q&A but that wasn't until the end because we spent most of the time watching the season 3 premier. It wasn't the best episode I think because at least for me I forgot how season 2 ended. Anyways now I can't wait for it to come back.

Lost
Again I don't have much to say, it was mostly all Q&A. They did have a special guest Mathew Fox. It was either because I was so tired I can't remember much or it was so long ago I forgot. Sorry.

Comic Con Day 1

General
Today was preview day at Comic Con where any 4-day pass people can pick it up and get to look around before the rest. Other than the massive line to pick up the badge it was interesting.

Fringe Screening
Tonight I was able to screen the pilot episode for J.J. Abrams new television series Fringe. I must say the show was interesting. I hope it is another TV classic. Much like X-Files it is a show about an elite group in the government that investigates strange occurrences. The only thing is these occurrences are being caused by someone. I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys a mystery show such as Lost or X-Files. It will be airing on Fox this Fall.
